Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA)
Quick Tax Service, a Certifying Acceptance Agent (CAA), is authorized by the IRS to assist individuals with applying for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). An ITIN is a nine-digit tax processing number issued by the IRS to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number, but are not eligible to obtain a Social Security Number (SSN). Individuals that are eligible for a Social Security Number may not apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
An ITIN is strictly for Federal tax reporting and are not valid for any purpose outside of the tax system. Those applying for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number will need to prove both identity and residency status. Both resident and non-resident aliens, who have United States tax return and payment obligations, are eligible to receive and Individual Taxpayer Identification Number.
Quick Tax Service is able to complete & submit IRS Form W7 (Application for ITIN), verify directly with the IRS that the application is complete, and communicate directly with the IRS regarding the issuance of the applicant’s ITIN. As a Certifying Acceptance Agent, we are able to certify that the applicant’s identification documents are authentic, eliminating the need for applicants to submit documents to the IRS. Our CAA services provide applicants with an expedited ITIN application process that eliminates the hassle of submitting original documents to the IRS, and possibly having to be without these documents for up to 2 months.
